This paper is concerned with a class of nonlinear higher-order forced functional difference equations. Some oscillation criteria for this equation are obtained and supported by some examples. Some investigations are carried out without assuming that the coefficients of the equation are of definite sign and showing that the forcing term needs not be the \(m\)th difference of an oscillatory function, which extend some known results. A reasonably complete list of references is included.
