The author considers the notion of Nash manifolds, which are real smooth manifolds with some additional algebraic structure. This notion is based on the notion of Nash functions, which are analytic functions whose graphs are semialgebraic subsets. Nash category (Nash functions, Nash maps, Nash manifolds, Nash groups, Nash actions on manifolds etc.) may be introduced naturally. Nash category is in some sense intermediate between the smooth and the algebraic categories. The examples of Nash Lie groups are identity components of real algebraic groups. In this paper the Nash analog of the well known global slice theorem is proved. Also some preliminary and additional results about Nash manifolds (in particular -- an equivariant Nash version of Whitney's approximation theorem) are proved.
