In a series of papers C. Mauduit, A. Sárközy and coauthors studied pseudorandom measures for binary sequences. This includes the well-distribution measure and the correlation measure of order \(k\). Various constructions depend on polynomials modulo \(p\), a prime number. \textit{J. Rivat} and \textit{A. Sárközy} [Period. Math. Hung. 51, No. 2, 75--107 (2005; Zbl 1111.11041)] introduced similar constructions for composite moduli \(m = p \cdot q\), where \(p\), \(q\) are primes with \(p < q < 2p\). In the present paper new upper bounds for correlation measures are obtained. The proofs depend on exponential sums over finite fields.
