In 1994, \textit{J.-F. Jaulent} [Acta Arith. 67, No. 4, 335--348 (1994; Zbl 0835.11042)] observed that some properties of the wild kernel \(\text{WK}_2(F)\) of a number field \(F\) are reflected in the logarithmic class group of \(F\). In this article, the authors modify the algorithm of \textit{F. Diaz y Diaz} et al. [Exp. Math. 14, No. 1, 65--74 (2005; Zbl 1148.11060)] for computing the ordinary logarithmic class group and develop an algorithm for computing the narrow logarithmic class groups of number fields. This allows them to compute the \(2\)-rank of the wild kernel \(\text{WK}_2(F)\) whenever \(F\) has no dyadic exceptional primes.
