The author in [Appl. Gen. Topol. 10, No. 2, 221--225 (2009; Zbl 1185.54033)] and [Topology Appl. 157, No. 14, 2289--2291 (2010; Zbl 1198.54054)] proved that if \(X\) is a certain kind of non-paracompact space, then there exists a compact space \(X\) such that \(X\oplus K\) cannot be closedly embedded into a normal topological group. In this paper the author extends these results to the whole class of non-paracompact spaces as an implication of Tamano's theorem giving a sufficient condition that if \(X\) embeds closedly into a normal topological group then \(X\) is paracompact.
