The paper considers partial algebras on maps. The sum of two maps is defined if the union of their graphs is a functional binary relation and then the sum is equal to the set-theoretical union. The second binary operation is map composition. By a polymap for a given partial map \(f\) between the sets \(X\) and \(Y\) is meant the set of all maps between \(X\) and \(Y\) which coincide with \(f\) on its domain. Then the sum or composition of two polymaps is constructed by compositions or sums of maps included in this polymap. The authors study the algebra of polymaps as well as the category of these objects.
