[For part I see the authors, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 84, 249-291 (1983; Zbl 0538.76070).] The nonlinear Boltzmann equation is solved for flow past an obstacle with given initial data. Various boundary conditions like diffuse reflection are allowed on the obstacle. The gas at infinity is described by a Maxwellian distribution with same temperature but different velocity than the obstacle. The steady solution for the problem was constructed by the authors in part I. In this paper, they prove stability with respect to perturbation of the initial data for the steady solution.
