The equation in the title is parabolic with an elliptic part containing the biharmonic and a quasilinear selfadjoint operator. The boundary conditions are chosen -- differently from those originally announced -- so as to allow decomposition into two second order equations, one with a time derivative, the other without. For the obtained system, several discretization schemes are considered, including backward Euler-Galerkin, Crank-Nicolson-Galerkin and a linearized finite difference scheme, and their accuracy is investigated following \textit{V. Thomée} [Galerkin finite element methods for parabolic problems (1997; Zbl 0884.65097) 239--252] using Sobolev norms and the maximum norm (here with the factor \(\log(1/h)\)).
