Using the work of \textit{B. Adamczewski} and \textit{Y. Bugeaud} [Acta Math. 195, 1--20 (2005; Zbl 1195.11093)] based on the use of the Schmidt Subspace Theorem, the author relaxes the conditions given by \textit{A. Baker} [Mathematika 9, 1--8 (1962; Zbl 0105.03903)] to establish transcendence in the class of quasi-periodic continued fractions.
