The family \(C\) of closed plane curves of length two is considered. Let \({\alpha}_2\) be the least area of a convex set which contains a congruent copy of every curve of \(C\). The authors improve the old bounds for \({\alpha}_2\) showing that \(0.386778 < \alpha_2 < 0.448504\).
