The Leibniz-Hopf algebra \(\mathcal F\) is formed by taking the free associative \(\mathbb Z\)-algebra on one generator \(S^n\) for each positive integer \(n\). In an earlier paper [Commun. Algebra 41, No. 9, 3261-3266 (2013; Zbl 1284.16038)], the authors considered the mod \(2\) dual of the Leibniz-Hopf algebra \(\mathcal F^*\otimes\mathbb Z/2=\bigoplus_n\Hom(\mathcal F_n,\mathbb Z/2)\), and calculated a basis for the invariants of this Hopf algebra under the conjugation operation (antipode). In the paper under review, the authors derive a corresponding result for the mod \(p\) reductions \(\mathcal F\otimes\mathbb Z/p\) and for the dual Hopf algebra \(\mathcal F^*=\bigoplus_n\Hom(\mathcal F_n,\mathbb Z)\), and the mod \(p\) duals, \(\mathcal F^*\otimes\mathbb Z/p\) for odd primes \(p\).
