The author considers a difference scheme, proposed in another article [Numer. Math. 43, 175-198 (1984; Zbl 0565.65044)], for solving the perturbation problem \[ \epsilon y''-f(y)'-b(x,y)=0,\quad y(0)=A,\quad y(1)=B. \] In this article, it is shown that the numerical solution is first order convergent, uniformly in \(\epsilon\).
