In this sequel to previous work of \textit{A. Stokolos} and \textit{W. Trebels} [J. Approximation Theory 98, No. 2, 203-222 (1999; preceding review)] we indicate at the example of the Gauss-Weierstrass and the Abel-Poisson means the sharpness of some results obtained there. This is achieved by modifying methods of \textit{K. I. Oskolkov} [Mat. Sbornik, N. Ser. 103(145), 563-589 (1977; Zbl 0371.41008)] and \textit{A. A. Solyanik} [Ph.D. Thesis, Odessa (1986)] developed for the periodic case.
