In this paper, the author shows that, for any bounded idempotent \(p\) on a complex Hilbert space \(H\), there exists a conjugation operator \(J\) with respect to which \(p\) is a \(J\)-projection, i.e., \(p=Jp^*J\). Furthermore, for a given conjugation operator \(J\) and a given orthogonal projection \(e\) on \(H\), he presents necessary and sufficient conditions which imply that the range of \(e\) equals the range of a \(J\)-projection.
