The author produces a formula for the dimension of the moduli space of irreducible anti-self-dual G-connections on a principal bundle over a Kähler manifold of positive scalar curvature, in a manner parallel to that used for self-dual manifolds with positive scalar curvature in an article by \textit{M. F. Atiyah}, the reviewer and \textit{I. M. Singer} [Proc. R. Soc. Lond. Ser. A 362, 425-461 (1978; Zbl 0389.53011)]. The formula is \(d=-Pont_ l(g^ c_ p)-frac{1}{2}\dim G(\chi +\tau)\) in terms of the Pontryagin class of the bundle and the Euler characteristic and signature of the underlying manifold. The key point of the proof consists of a vanishing theorem where the author makes use of the holomorphic structure on the vector bundle defined by the connection. The author is also aware that his formula coincides with the dimension of the moduli space of stable vector bundles over such a manifold, supporting the conjecture (due to the reviewer and \textit{S. Kobayashi}) that such vector bundles should admit canonical anti-self-dual connections. For an algebraic surface, this has been recently proved by \textit{S. K. Donaldson} [''Anti- self-dual Yang-Mills connections over complex algebraic surfaces and stable vector bundles'', to appear].
