The derivative of a modular form in general fails to be a modular form again, but certain combinations of derivatives yield a modular form of higher weight. Such a theory was developed for elliptic and Siegel modular forms as well as for Jacobi forms by Rankin, Cohen, Zagier and Choie among others. In the paper under review the author derives analogous results for Hermitian modular forms of degree 2 and associated Hermitian Jacobi forms in the sense of \textit{K. K. Haverkamp} [Result. Math. 29, 78-89 (1996; Zbl 0864.11025)].
