The author studies the quantum Hamiltonian describing a diatomic molecule, in the Born-Oppenheimer limit where the mass of the nuclei becomes large. Under various assumptions on the electronic levels (in particular non-trapping conditions) an estimate on the boundary value of the resolvent is proven. The result is also extended to the Dirac operator.
