    Consider the two-dimensional system \[ \begin{aligned} {dx\over dt} &= x\Biggl(1- x-{y\over x+\alpha y}\Biggr),\\ {dy\over dt} &=\delta y\Biggl(\beta-{y\over x}\Biggr),\end{aligned} \] where \(\alpha\), \(\beta\) and \(\delta\) are positive parameters. This model has been studied by \textit{A. A. Abramov} et al. [Zh. Vychisl. Mat. Mat. Fiz. 49, No. 3, 490--497 (2009; Zbl 1224.34030); translation in Comput. Math., Math. Phys. 49, No. 3, 474--481 (2009)]. The authors complete these qualitative investigations.
