Let \(K\) be a field, let \(R=K[x_1,\ldots,x_d]\) and let \(I \subset R\) be an ideal of codimension \(d\) generated by \(\binom{d+1}{2}-1\) quadrics. The authors study the Rees algebra \(R[It].\) They provide interesting results in two circumstances: \(d=3;\) \(d>3\) and \(K=\mathbb R.\) Moreover they prove, in the latter case, that \(I\) can be generated, up to a change of variables, by monomials and \(d-r-1\) binomials, where \(r+1\) is the Cohen-Macaulay type of \(I\) (Theorem 3.5).
