Authors investigate numerical simulation of shallow water equations with several sets of boundary conditions. The physical boundary is divided into two sets: \((i)\) closed and \((ii)\) open, and several kinds of conditions are discussed on each boundary component. It is shown how to obtain a priori estimates for different choices of boundary data. The paper is highly mathematical and contains some energy estimates. Several theorems regarding these estimates are proved. This paper seems to be useful for scientists interested in numerical and computational aspects of shallow water equations.
