\textit{P. Seidel} and \textit{R. Thomas} [Duke Math. J. 108, No. 1, 37--108 (2001; Zbl 1092.14025)] investigated a braid group action on the derived category of coherent sheaves and gave examples of braid group actions arising from crepant resolutions of singularities. This is generalized in the study of a set of toric Calabi--Yau varieties arising as deformations of the small resolution of type \(A\) surface singularities.
