The author defines and studies Morita equivalence of twisted inverse semigroup actions (in the discrete case). Such a twisted inverse semigroup action is called a Busby-Smith twisted action by the author. Two twisted actions are called Morita equivalent if there exists an imprimitivity Hilbert bimodule with the correct twisted action. This comes down to the existence of a twisted action on the linking algebra. The main theorem in the paper says that Morita equivalent twisted actions give rise to Morita equivalent crossed products. Finally, the author describes the relation of Busby-Smith twisted actions with (discrete) twisted partial actions and translates his results to this setting.
