    \(A\) est l'algèbre des fonctions holomorphes dans le disque unité et continues sur son bord. \((H_1,T_1)\) et \((H_2,T_2)\) sont deux modules de Hilbert sur \(A\) et deux opérateurs ``polynomialement'' bornés. Le groupe des classes d'équivalence des suites exactes \(0\to H_1\to K\to H_2\to 0\), où \(K\) est un autre module de Hilbert est isomorphe an quotient de l'espace des opérateurs de \(H_2\) dans \(H_1\) par l'espace des opérateurs de la forme \(T_1 L-LT_2\) pour un opérateur \(L\) de \(H_2\) dans \(H_1\). Ce resultat conduit à des nombreuses conséquences intéressantes.
