If \(A\) is a ring graded by a group \(G\), let \({\mathcal Pgr}^G(A)\) be the category of finitely generated \(G\)-graded projective right \(A\)-modules, and denote by \(K_i^G(A)\) the Quillen \(K\)-groups \(K_i({\mathcal Pgr}^G(A))\). The aim of the paper is to show that for a \(\mathbb{Z}^m\times G\)-graded ring \(A\) with support \(\mathbb{N}^m\times G\) (where \(m\) is a positive integer), there is an isomorphism of \(\mathbb{Z}[x_1,x_1^{-1},\dots ,x_m,x_m^{-1}]\)-modules \(K_i^G(A_{(0,-)})\otimes_{\mathbb Z} \mathbb{Z}[x_1,x_1^{-1},\dots ,x_m,x_m^{-1}]\simeq K_i^{\mathbb{Z}^m\times G}(A)\), where \(A_{(0,-)}\) is the \(G\)-graded ring obtained from \(A\) by taking only the homogeneous components of degrees \((0,g), g\in G\). If \(G\) is trivial, this recovers a result of \textit{D. Quillen} [Lect. Notes Math. 341, 85--147 (1973; Zbl 0292.18004)].
