The authors introduce a structure of an infinite dimensional Frobenius manifold on a subspace in the space of pairs of functions analytic inside/outside the unit circle with simple poles at 0 and \(\infty\), respectively. The main goal of the paper is to extend certain techniques involving Frobenius manifolds to integrable PDEs with two spatial dimensions (2+1 systems). In particular, they analyze the 2D Toda equation.
