The authors consider a special complete orthonormal system of functions \(\{e_k(x)\), \(k= 0,\pm 1,\pm 2,\dots\}\) in \(L^2((-1,1),d\mu_\alpha)\), where \(d\mu_\alpha= (2^{\alpha+ 1}\Gamma(\alpha+ 1))^{-1}|x|^{2\alpha+ 1}dx\). This system is related to the Fourier-Dunkl transform extending the Fourier transform. The above orthonormal system reduces to the usual trigonometric system when \(\alpha=- 1/2\). Defining the kernel \[ K_n(x,y)= \sum^n_{k=-n} e_k(x)\overline{e_k(y)} \] and then the partial sum operator \[ S_nf(x)= \sin^1_{-1} f(y) K_n(x,y)\, d\mu_\alpha(y), \] the authors obtain certain weighted norm estimates for \(S_nf(x)\). These estimates are used to study the weighted norm convergence of Fourier expansions according to the above system.
