Kitaoka has proved the following conjecture: If a finite subgroup \(G\) of \(GL_n(O_K)\) is invariant under the action of \(\text{Gal}(K/\mathbb{Q})\) then it is contained in \(GL_n(K^{ab})\), where \(O_K\) is the ring of integers of the finite Galois extension \(K\) of \(\mathbb{Q}\) and \(K^{ab}\) is the maximal abelian subextension of \(K\). The paper under review reduces this conjecture to a special case of elementary abelian \(p\)-groups.
