Einstein's equations can be reduced from four to three dimensions if a Killing vector exists. If the latter is not null and if the energy-momentum tensor has a simple form, then the reduced equations show some symmetry which allows to produce new solutions from a given ``seed'' solution. Following Stephani, the authors apply this procedure to the perfect fluid case. Two subcases are discussed: a spacelike Killing vector together with the equation of state \(p=\rho\), and a timelike Killing vector together with the equation of state \(3p+\rho=0\).
