When studying polyhedra, one must be clear in what ``polyhedra'' means for their purposes. For example, one may want to allow non-convex polyhedra, or unbounded polyhedra, while another may only want both convex and bounded polyhedra. The article under review uses a definition first given by Grünbaum, which allows for faces to be skew or infinite. This definition implies fascinating results related to regular polyhedra, and the introductory section describes some of these, which are expanded upon in subsequent sections. The main purpose of the article is to discuss properties of skeletal polyhedral structures in three-dimensional Euclidean space; results in higher dimensions are not discussed but references to these are provided. Topics discussed include chirality, helix-faced polyhedra, polygonal complexes, simply and nonsimply flag-transitive complexes, and nets.
