The authors study the surface pressure, that is the term in the finite-size correction to the avaraged logarithm of the partition function which is proportional to the size of the boundary, for Edwards-Anderson models with Gaussian disorder. Both free and periodic (equals antiperiodic here) boundary conditions are considered, and bounds on the surface pressure are proven. A main ingredient in the proofs is Guerra's interpolation technique which is used to derive a connection between the surface pressure and the overlap parameter. For high temperatures precise estimates of the surface pressure are provided.
