The paper deals with the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator \(A\) acting in \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) \[ A=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}+Q(x), \] where \(Q\) is a real-valued, even potential which tends to \(+\infty\) as \(|x|\to \infty\). The authors consider the limit measures induced by the rescaled eigenfunctions of the indicated operator. They show that the limit measure is supported on \([-1, 1]\) and with the density proportional to \((1-|x|^\beta)^{-1/2}\) when the non-perturbed potential resembles \(|x|^\beta\), \(\beta> 0\), for large \(x\), and with the uniform density for superpolynomially growing potentials. These results are compared with analogous results in orthogonal polynomials and semiclassical defect measures.
