Apparent singularities (ASs) of linear systems of ordinary differential equations with complex time are defined by the triviality of the monodromy around them. The paper gives explicit descriptions of the moduli space of rank 2 (parabolic) Higgs bundles on \(\mathbb{P}^1\) and the moduli space of rank 2 parabolic connections on \(\mathbb{P}^1\) by the ASs and their dual parameters (DPs). ASs and their DPs are coordinates on Zariski-open sets of these moduli spaces. The paper gives explicit description of these Zariski-open sets. For \(n=5\) (where \(n\) stands for the number of singular points of the connections) the authors give global descriptions of the moduli spaces in detail.
