The authors consider a system of chemotaxis with an external confinement for microorganisms and the chemotactic drift which depends nonlinearly on the concentration of the chemoattractant. Using the gradient flow structure of the system, the exponential stability of a unique steady state is proved under suitable assumptions including the convexity of the confinement function.
