The author investigates the Dirac spectrum of a Dirac operator. The main purpose is to show that the Dirac spectrum can be characterized by a non-decreasing sequence of continuous functions of the Riemannian metric. The paper provides a global version of the well-known result on a bounded spectral interval. Existence of a non-decreasing family of functions defined on the space of all Riemannian metrics representing the entire Dirac spectrum at any metric is shown.
