Let \(\Omega \subset\subset \mathbb{C}^n\) be a smooth pseudconvex domain, \(z_0=0\) a boundary point and assume that there is a system of smooth cut-off functions \(\eta\) in a neighborhood of \(0\) such that \(\partial_b\eta\) and \(\frac{1}{2}(\partial_b \overline\partial_b - \overline\partial_b \partial_b)\eta\) are subelliptic multipliers for any degree \(k\in [1, n-2]\), and a microlocal positive mulitiplier for \(k=n-1\) and a negative multiplier for \(k=0\) in the sense of [\textit{J. J. Kohn}, Contemp. Math. 251, 393--398 (2000; Zbl 0997.32039)]. In addition assume that \(b\Omega\) is graphed by \(x_n=h(z')\) with \(h\) independent of \(y_n\). It is shown that \(\square_b\) and \(\square\) are \(\mathcal{C}^\infty\)-hypoelliptic at \(0\). The authors also point out that this result can be applied to a large class of new ``decoupled'' pseudoconvex domains whose boundary \(b\Omega\) is defined in a neighborhood of \(0\) by \(2x_n= \sum_{j=1}^{n-1} h_j(z_j)\), where \(h_j\) are special real subharmonic functions, for instance \(h_j(z_j)= \exp (-|z_j|^{-s_j})x_j^{2m_j}\), where \(s_j>0\) and \(m_j\geq 0\).
