There is a well-known result which says that the Grothendieck rings of the towers of type \(A\) affine Hecke algebras can be identified with the quantized affine algebra \(U^+(A^{(1)})\) (which is a graded Hopf algebra). In the present paper, a similar relationship is built for 0-Ariki-Koike-Shoji algebras. Precisely, the Grothendieck rings of the towers of 0-Ariki-Koike-Shoji algebras are identified with certain combinatorial graded Hopf algebras (known as Mantaci-Reutenauer descent algebras). Their relations with Poirier quasi-symmetric functions are studied.
