In the present paper, the authors introduce two special classes of finite fusion frames: root frames and eigenframes. A root frame is a frame whose vectors form a root system; an eigenframe is a frame whose vectors are eigenvectors of its frame operator. Their interesting properties and a classification of the root frames are given. We mention here that a root frame is a scalable frame. Some concrete examples are presented.
