It is now well-known that the Feynman rules for scalar field theories are related to algebraic geometry, for example upon the use of parametric representation providing renormalized integrands. Indeed the two Symanzik polynomials which underlay the parametric representation are very important (see references 1--7, e.g. [Zbl 1109.81059; Zbl 1196.81130; Zbl 1253.14024]). In this research paper, the authors construct an approach to generalize the above-mentioned approach in the realm of gauge theories in case which makes it possible to formulate mathematically the transition from scalar to gauge field theory. This approach enables them to obtain the renormalized integrand of an n-loop scattering amplitude in a gauge theory in a more elegant way. Indeed, they prove that the Feynman integrand at any loop order \(n\) in gauge theory can be obtained from the study of graph homology and cycle homology acting on 3-regular connected scalar graphs. By use of corolla polynomial, the authors avoid to introduce ghosts in the context of covariant quantization since this polynomial is still a positive polynomial and incorporates all necessary signs of closed ghost loops.
