The authors give new upper and lower bounds for the number of points on abelian and Jacobian varieties over finite fields. This is based on inequalities relying on the constraints of the Weil polynomials under certain conditions (for instance a fixed trace) and optimization of these inequalities. They also determine the values for the maximum and minimum number of points on Jacobian surfaces on a given finite field using the results of \textit{E. W. Howe, E. Nart} and \textit{C. Ritzenthaler} [Ann. Inst. Fourier 59, No. 1, 239--289 (2009 ; Zbl 1236.11058)]. Proofs will be given in another article to appear. Note that other lower bounds can be found in [\textit{S. Ballet} and \textit{R. Rolland}, J. Théor. Nombres Bordx. 24, No. 3, 505--540 (2012; Zbl 1273.14052)].
