On rational components of meromorphic functions and their derivatives (Q1174863): Difference between revisions

The author studies comparative growth of the uniform norms of rational and analytic components of meromorphic functions in arbitrary domains and the growth of the \(L^ 1\) norms of the derivatives of the rational components versus that of the uniform norm of its analytic part in domains with a locally rectifiable boundary. For example, he proves that in an arbitrary domain \(G\) on the Riemann sphere \[ \sup\{\| f_ G\|_{C(\partial G)}/\| f\|_{C(\partial G)}\}\leq 50n \] where sup is taken over all meromorphic functions whose principal (rational) part \(f_ G\) has no more than \(n\) poles in \(G\).
