The author studies steady inviscid incompressible annular liquid jets falling under the influence of gravity. For slender jets, the perturbation technique is implemented. Besides the degree of slenderness \(\varepsilon\), there are two additional dimensionless parameters: the Froude number Fr and Weber number W. A perturbative analysis reveals a variety of behaviors depending on relationships between the dimensionless parameters. For no surface tension \((W=\infty)\), different behaviors emerge when \(Fr\sim \varepsilon^{-2}\) or \(Fr\sim 1\).
