The author first reviews the hyperkähler quotient construction applied to quaternionic vector spaces. The next section describes the infinite-dimensional hyperkähler quotient that defines \(\mathcal N\), the moduli space of \((1,\dots,1)\) Nahm data, and shows that it can be realised as a finite-dimensional hyperkähler quotient. This enables a rigorous definition of the metric on \(\mathcal N\) as a hyperkähler quotient of a finite-dimensional hyperkähler manifold. Next it is shown that the moduli space is isometric to a product \(\mathcal N=\mathbb{R}^{3}\times\frac{\mathcal N_{c}\times \mathbb{R}}{\mathbb{Z}}\), where \(\mathcal N_{c}\) is the space of Nahm data corresponding to centered monopoles, and \(\mathbb{R} ^{3}\) and \(\mathbb{R}\) are given a multiple of the standard metric. Recently \textit{K. Lee, Erick J. Weinberg} and \textit{P.-J. Yi} [Phys. Rev. D, III. Ser. 54, No. 2, 1633-1643 (1996; MR 97e:58034)] calculated the asymptotic metric on the moduli space of \((1,1,\dots,1)\) BPS monopoles and conjectured that it was globally exact. In the last section of the paper under review, it is shown that this is true for the moduli space \(\mathcal N_{c}\).
