The aim of the paper is twofold. First: Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and let the parameters involved such that the embedding \[ \text{id}: B_{p_1q_1}^{s_1} (\Omega)\to B_{p_2q_2}^{s_2} (\Omega) \] is compact (\(B\)-spaces might be replaced by \(F\)-spaces). Edmunds and the reviewer calculated the approximation numbers \(a_k (\text{id})\). There are some gaps which are sealed in the present paper. Secondly: Haroske dealt with corresponding problems for weighted spaces of type \(B_{pq}^s\) and \(F_{pq}^s\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Again there are some gaps which are treated in the present paper.
