The paper deals with the Dirichlet problem for the reaction-diffusion equation which is a degenerate one. The problem is considered in a closed domain formed by two continuous curves intersecting each other. Under some restrictions existence, boundary regularity, uniqueness and comparison theorems for a generalized solution are proved.
