The authors consider the blow-up phenomena of the second-order nonlinear differential equation \[ x''=f(f,x,x'), \tag{DE} \] where \(f:\mathbb{R}^3 \to \mathbb{R}^1\) is a continuous function. Let \(f\) be a bounded function on \(\mathbb{R}^1 \times X\) (bounded subset of \(\mathbb{R}^2)\), \(M_0\in\mathbb{R}^1\) be a number such that \(f(t,z,0)\geq \varepsilon_0>0\), \(\forall z\geq M_0\), \(x\) be a solution to equation (DE) and let there exists a \(t_0\in \mathbb{R}^1\) such that \(x(t_0)\geq M_0\), \(x'(t_0)>0\). Then, they show that, under appropriate conditions, the right maximal existence interval \([t_0,T)\) is finite (i.e., \(T<+\infty)\). It is very interesting for us.
