A result of \textit{S. E. Goodman} and \textit{J. F. Plante} [J. Differ. Geom. 14, 401-407 (1979; Zbl 0475.57007)], who characterized limit points of averaging sequences as holonomy invariant transverse measures, is generalized. An analogous result for some leafwise averages, weighted with a cocycle, whose limit points are a product of a quasi-invariant transverse measure with respect to this cocycle with a leafwise measure is proved.
