This paper deals with the monodromy of the Weierstrass form of the Lamé equation \[ L_{\ell,B,g_2,g_3} u= 0 \] on the elliptic curve \(E_{g_2,g_3}\). \textit{R. C. Churchill} [J. Symb. Comput. 28, No. 4--5, 521--545 (1999; Zbl 0958.34074)] studied the monodromy of the Weierstrass-form Lamé equation on the elliptic curve with projective monodromy group \(G(L_{\ell,B,g_2,g_3})\). In particular, he deduced that it cannot be octahedral. The author here provides a corrected theorem on \(G(L_{\ell,B,g_2,g_3})\). Moreover, he gives an example of an equation \(L_{\ell,B,g_2,g_2, g_3}u= 0\) with octahedral projective monodromy.
