The author shows a new expression for Bernoulli numbers \(B_{2m}\) (where \(B_n\) is defined by \({t\over e^t-1}=\sum^{\infty}_{n=0} B_n{t^ n\over n!}\)) which needs only ``one'' summation. Simultaneously he gives an expression for multiple zeta values \(\zeta(2m, 2m, \dots, 2m)\) of Zagier's multiple sum defined by \[ \zeta(m_1,\dots,m_n)=\sum_{k_ 1>\cdots>k_n>0}{1\over k_1^{m_1}\cdots k_n^{m_n}}. \] The author notes that the latter result can be also found in an unpublished paper of D. Zagier.
