Let \((X,\Sigma,\mu)\) be a \(\sigma\)-finite measure space and M the set of measurable numerical functions on X. For \(f\in M\rho(f)\) denotes a saturated function norm with Fatou property and \(L_{\rho}=\{f\in M:\rho(f)<\infty\}\) is the associated Köthe function space. If \(a: X\to {\mathbb{R}}\) is a measurable function with \(0<a<\infty\mu\)-a.e. on X let \(L_{\rho}(a)=\{f\in M:\rho(a\cdot f)<\infty\}\); \(L_{\rho}(a)\) is a Banach space with the norm \(\| f\|_ a=\rho (a\cdot f)\) and is isomorphic to \(L_{\rho}\). For a sequence \(A=(a_ n)_{n\in {\mathbb{N}}}\) of measurable functions with \(0<a_ n\leq a_{n+1}<\infty\mu\)-a.e. on X for each \(n\in {\mathbb{N}}\) \(L_{\rho}(A)\) denotes the projective limit proj \(L_{\rho}(a_ n)\) and it turns out that \(L_{\rho}(A)\neq \{0\}\) for arbitrary sequence A as described above. If \(V=(v_ n)_{n\in {\mathbb{N}}}\) is a decreasing sequence of measurable functions with \(0<v_{n+1}\leq v_ n\leq \infty\mu\)-a.e. on X then the system of functions \(\bar V\) associated with V is defined as \(\{\bar v:\) \(X\to {\mathbb{R}}|\bar v\in M\) and \(\mu\)-ess \(\sup \bar v(x)/v_ n(x)<\infty\forall n\in {\mathbb{N}}\}\) and the spaces \(K_{\rho}(\bar V)\) and \(k_{\rho}(V)\) are defined as \(\{f\in M:\rho(\bar v\cdot f)<\infty\forall \bar v\in \bar V\}\) and ind \(L_{\rho}(v_ n)\) respectively. The author shows that the spaces \(K_{\rho}(\bar V)\) and \(k_{\rho}(V)\) are equal algebraically, have the same bounded sets and that \(K_{\rho}(\bar V)\) is always complete. He shows further that the locally convex inductive limit \(k_{\rho}(V)\) is regular and equal to the bornological space associated with \(K_{\rho}(\bar V)\) and that \(K_{\rho}(\bar V)\) has a fundamental sequence of bounded sets. The results obtained are applied to the case where \(\mu\) is a Borel measure on a locally compact and \(\sigma\)-compact topological space X. Choosing X to be an open subset of \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\), \(n\geq 1\), the author obtains some functional analytic results on weighted inductive limits of spaces of holomorphic and harmonic functions.
