For each \(d>1\) let \({\mathcal D}^{\{d\}}({\mathbb{R}})'\) denote the (DFN)-space of Gevrey-ultradistributions of exponent d on \({\mathbb{R}}\). Each \(\mu\in {\mathcal D}^{\{d\}}({\mathbb{R}})'\) with compact support induces a convolution operator \(S_{\mu}\) on \({\mathcal D}^{\{d\}}({\mathbb{R}})'\) by \(S_{\mu}(\nu):\) \(\mu\) *\(\nu\). For surjective convolution operators \(S_{\mu}\), the locally convex structure of ker \(S_{\mu}\) is determined. It is shown that ker \(S_{\mu}\) admits an absolute basis of exponential solutions and for dim ker \(S_{\mu}=\infty\) one has \[ \ker S_{\mu}\cong \{x\in {\mathbb{C}}^{{\mathbb{N}}}:\quad \forall k\in {\mathbb{N}}\quad \| x\|_ k:=\sum^{\infty}_{j=1}| x_ j| \exp (k| Im a_ j| -\frac{1}{k}\omega (| a_ j|))<\infty \}, \] where \(\omega (t)=t^{1/d}\) and where the sequence \((a_ j)_{j\in {\mathbb{N}}}\) counts the zeros of the Fourier-Laplace transform \({\hat \mu}\) of \(\mu\) with multiplicities. Hence ker \(S_{\mu}\) is a power space in the sense of Zaharjuta. In fact this result holds also if \({\mathcal D}^{\{d\}}({\mathbb{R}})'\) is replaced by \({\mathcal D}_{\{\omega \}}({\mathbb{R}})'\), the \(\omega\)-ultradistributions of Roumieu type.
